Sarasota Wedding Photographer | Carrie & Joe | The Field Club Wedding

Both busy professionals, The Field Club in Sarasota was the perfect getaway destination for Carrie + Joe's wedding day.

These two are actually high school sweethearts. Let's collectively say AWE! Seriously, hearing how you met and how he proposed is our FAV! Speaking of,  Joe proposed while on a boat, while vacationing in Portofino, Italy.  Talk about romantic! All the swoons.

Carrie + Joes' wedding day was a timeless affair with an intimate feeling. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day to capture their love story.

Asheville Wedding Inspiration | Film Wedding | North Carolina Wedding Photographer

If you are considering a destination wedding (and you adore mountain air and sprawling views), we're pretty sure Asheville should be on your list! We love shooting in North Carolina, and Asheville has a special place in our hearts. It's a wonderful location for a wedding and one we're always down to travel to. For this shoot, a private estate near Lake Lure provided the perfect backdrop. The entire vibe for the shoot was mountainside romance. It had a touch of boho, a little bit of modern, but at the core, still timelessly beautiful. Which y'all know is our JAM!

The greenery bouquet was ridic (in a good way) and the place setting had a beautiful, clean/crisp feeling. The dark blue kozo paper used as place cards provided a beautiful contrast with the neutral tablescape.  And the charger plate had a really cool shape- which worked great with the softer element like the candles & fabric.

The portraits taken in the lake are some of our favorites. We love when a couple can kick-off their shoes and immerse themselves in nature.

Barnsley Plantation Wedding | Jackie + Ehren | Atlanta Wedding Photographer

Are you ready to enter swoon city?! Jackie + Ehren's Barnsley Plantation wedding in Adairsville, GA was absolutely breathtaking! Every single detail was perfection- from the historic location to the lush, garden style florals, we couldn't get enough of the wedding day!

The couple's wedding date was chosen for sentimental reasons- and simultaneously broke and touched our hearts! Jackie told us "My dad got sick a few weeks after we got engaged and I went back to Pittsburgh to be with him. He would say things like, "Please don't forget to tell me when the wedding is. I really want to be there." Ehren suggested we get married in the chapel of the hospice that Thanksgiving and I said that was ridiculous because I truly had hope that my dad would pull through as he always did. Sadly, he passed away a few weeks later and I kicked myself a lot for not getting married in that hospice chapel. So when it came time to picking a wedding date, getting married on my dad's birthday felt like the perfect way to honor him. And it was. :)

Ehren's mom lost her dad when she was young and his parents got married on her dad's birthday as well so it was a special way to connect everyone and was so meaningful to us. "

Another thoughtful touch was Jackie's "something borrowed", which was her beautiful pair of shoes from her sister (also her Maid of Honor).

Gasparilla Inn Wedding | Natali & Mark | Boca Grande Wedding Photographer

Natalia + Mark's Boca Grande wedding was held at the Gasparilla Inn. If you follow our work, you know we love this wedding venue!  They have beautiful grounds and a resort "feel", while still being perfectly intimate.

The couple held their ceremony on the beach. The soft sounds of the ocean and the gentle breeze was heavenly!  For the reception, the timeless color theme and coastal touches were the perfect fit for the venue and the couple.

All expertly planned by Courtney at CocoLuna events!

Lauren + Ryan's Gasparilla Inn Wedding | Boca Grande Wedding Photographer

When Lauren and Ryan told us, "We want a romantic ceremony and very fun reception. We plan on exiting our ceremony with fun music and sunglasses. We really want everyone to enjoy themselves. For out tent, we want candle-lighting and soft flowers. We want to be present for our wedding, we want to enjoy the day as much as we can!"  we instantly knew we'd love their Gasparilla Inn wedding day!  And we were right!

Their ceremony was held on Banyan Street- with is one of our favorite locations in Boca Grande. It was officiated by one of Ryan's friends, which was made it unique and personal.  They also recited their own vows to one another, which were beautifully written and very touching

The entire day was beautiful, elegant, and timeless. Which you know is our jam! ;)

Ritz Carlton Sarasota Wedding, Trish + Mike | Destination Wedding Photographer

Trish & Mike's courtship started as college friends in Vermont. Over the course of a few semesters, a bit of 'waiting it out', and a little liquid courage on Trish's part, it finally blossomed into a romance.  Their big day was five years in the making and we'd say it was worth the wait! The couple currently lives in Boston and planned their destination wedding at The Ritz Carlton in Sarasota

The proposal from Trish's perspective (we live for these stories)! "One Saturday afternoon Mike said let's go to the Lowe's hotel for lunch and a cocktail. It was the most beautiful day in September so we walked over and had a fabulous lunch and some wine. After lunch, I asked Mike to check out the lobby of the hotel since it was new and just opened. All of a sudden he pulled out a room key. He brought me upstairs and had a suite all ready and all of my clothes packed. He said he thought it would be a fun night in the city. We had also been planning to go see the Lion King at the Boston Opera House that evening. After we got to the room I got a notification on Open Table that Mike canceled the reservation I had made. I thought something was going on but my mom threw me off completely by saying nothing was happening until the spring.

That evening we get all dressed up and go to the play. The entire time Mike as acting very strange. After the play, we go to the restaurant and they say they cannot take us anymore because the play got out too late. I could tell he was panicking. Mike said okay let's go for a walk and skip dinner. We started to walk and ironically it started to rain so we went back to the hotel.
When we got back to the hotel there were roses, chocolates, champagne, and apparently a card that said congratulations that Mike threw in his suitcase. He had asked the hotel to go all out since we were supposed to have been engaged by then. Mike said he was sick and went straight to bed since he was so upset. I stayed up and ate chocolate all night as happy as can be.
The next morning Mike asked me to take a walk with him and to dress up so we could take an updated picture of us. We hadn't had a picture taken in months so I believed him. As we crossed over the Boston Common Bridge Mike gave his phone to someone to record everything and got down on one knee. All of these people were screaming say yes and I thought Mike was going to faint he was so nervous! Even though nothing went according to plan it all worked out and he did a great job. "

The self-proclaimed foodies had an AMAZING menu (The Ritz Carlton always does a fantastic job) and the Motown music from the band kept the party alive all night!
