What is your photography style?

We specialize in luxury weddings with a fine-art approach, and we rely on natural light for a very ethereal feel.  Clients describe our photography as romantic, genuine, and natural with an editorial flair.  Bride & groom portraits are our fave and so are details - so we tend to focus heavily on those.

Your photos don't seem super posed - are they?

No - we’re not into "posing" you, but we will help direct you into poses that capture you two just being you - naturally.  We just help with little things like where to put your hands (that's always the awkward one!) or just a small tilt of a head. We like to have some fun and capture your genuine emotion and we want you to look at these photos in 30 years and say "yep that was us," not some version your photographer made you be.  If you look at our portfolio - you'll see no two couples are the same.  We just let their unique love unfold in front of our lens in a real and natural way.  Some laugh a lot while others remain more serious - whatever your style -we'll capture it.  We know you aren't models - but when you see your pictures for the first time - we hope you feel like one!  We also love fashion magazines, and the editorials within their pages, and we derive a lot of our “posed” inspiration from that.  That’s where our “editorial flair” we described above comes from.  While we love beautiful smiles, but we love those serious intense beautiful shots too.

What does the timeline of the wedding look like?

We usually arrive 3 hours before the start of the wedding.  This gives us time to photograph all your special details (dress, shoes, rings, etc) and your “getting ready” shots as well as capture fun candids of you each hanging out with your bridesmaids, groomsmen and family.  If you opt to do a First Look, we'll need  45 minutes - 1.5 hours more.  This depends on if you choose to do all of your formal bridal party shots in advance of the ceremony as well. This usually allows us the proper amount of time to focus on your bride & groom portraits too!  During the ceremony we tend to be more photojournalistic - just capturing the moments as they happen.  After the ceremony, we'll take about 20-30 minutes to capture your family formals and then sneak in another 15 minutes or so with just the two of you. If we time it right - we hope to do these around sunset because they'll be gorgeous! During the reception we gear back into a photojournalistic approach and we catch all the important moments as well as fun candids while you two have fun with your family and friends!

Where will my engagement shoot take place?

That’s entirely up to you!  We are primarily natural light photographers and prefer to shoot in that environment to achieve our aesthetic.  We definitely customize the sessions to fit our clients.  Again, with being "non-posey" we want this shoot to reflect who you two are.  So think about what your favorite things to do together are, or a favorite spot in town and we can design a shoot around that.  Or maybe you'd just like simple pictures at the beach or a park - and that's great too!

Why do you love engagement sessions?

We love them because it gives us a chance to get to know each other, make friends and just have some fun.  Then on your wedding day you’ll know how we work and you’ll be more relaxed.  Who wants a stranger showing up on their wedding day shoving a camera in their face?  You’d much rather have a friend that you are already comfortable with, right? – and we prefer it that way too.  We are the only vendor who will be by your side your entire day - wouldn't it be more relaxed if you knew us?

What happens if you're sick?

Since we started shooting, we have never missed one wedding.  If there was an emergency, we would make all of the arrangements for a professional wedding photographer with our similar style to take our place.

What Equipment do you use?

We shoot with all Canon equipment.  All digital SLR bodies with an assortment of professional lenses and speed lights.   For lighting equipment, we prefer natural light over artificial light, but we have equipment to handle low-lit situations!

Do you travel for weddings?

Now that we know we love you, how do we book your for our wedding?

To secure your date, we require a signed contract and a 50% non-refundable retainer.

What if we cancel, is our retainer refundable?

Once we have received your contract and retainer, all monies paid are non-refundable.  Since we take a limited number of weddings each year, we have set aside your date for you and you alone, and have had to turn other brides away who have inquired about your date.
