Kelsey & Chris wanted an intimate exchange of vows at one of the most serene and stunning locations in North America. Banff easily tops any ‘most breathtaking’ list and we jumped at the chance to photograph this elopement. We think you’ll feel that way after you take a peak at these pictures.

Everything about their wedding day was so deeply meaningful. From their morning of slowly getting ready with one another, to their handwritten vows, to their perfectly curated picnic for two. I remember Kelsey telling me on the phone one day how she wanted it to be just her and Chris on a mountain somewhere vowing forever. And then they chose Banff – and it was everything she’d ever hoped it would be! (Well maybe a tad colder than she’d anticipated) 🙂

The ceremony was full of love. The groom, Chris performed the readings and led them in their vows, followed by a perfect lakeside picnic with items they’d purchased at the farmers market the previous afternoon. For this beautiful couple, it was the best way to celebrate.
