On most Saturdays we try and take a spin class together. We woke up the morning of September 27th and like any other Saturday we went to spin class. Looking back Adam was acting a little strange but I didnt think anything of it at the time. After spin, he suggested we grab a bite to eat. I quickly freshened up but remained in my gym clothes. We went to brunch and then I said I needed to run some errands – I could see he was not pleased by this request, because I tend to turn one errand into several. At a certain point he had to drag me out of the drug store.
We went back to our apartment and upon walking in I noticed flowers all over the room and a card on the table, I was shocked, but then quickly assumed it was for my birthday which was a few days earlier. He handed me a picture book that he had our friend make (it was so cute). As I turned the pages I was reading his words to me, at one point I turned a page and immediately realized this was not for my birthday — I started crying and then turned to the page where he was asking me to marry him! I could barely see him through all my tears but he had a diamond ring in his hand and asked me to spend the rest of our lives together. I was crying and hugging him all at the same time – and at one point said, I HAVE GYM CLOTHES ON!! It was all so funny, and amazing at the same time. He knew he had to trick me that day, otherwise I would have caught on. Later that night- he surprised me again with an evening full of friends and family at a huge celebratory dinner. People had flown in from all over – it was perfect”
Their wedding day was much the same as the proposal- lots of love and a huge celebration!
