The Gasparilla Inn & Club
The Gasparilla Inn, established in 1913, offers a unique blend of warm hospitality and curated style. Feeling stuck deciding between an indoor and outdoor setting for your big day? The Inn’s Croquet Lawn space has you covered with its combination of sprawling green grasses and large canvas tents. The Gasparilla’s Beach Club space is equally as versatile, with its covered poolside terrace boasting stunning views of the coastline and ample seating for an al fresco reception dinner. Some couples even choose to host their rehearsal dinner at the Beach Club and their wedding at the Inn — fun beachy vibes for the pre-wedding festivities and classic Old Florida charm for the big event.
When it comes to wedding weekend accommodations for yourself and your guests, the Inn is definitely one of your best bets. The Gasparilla offers 163 rooms, 33 suites, 10 private on-site beach cottages, and several ranch-style villas for large groups — luxury lodgings galore! The Inn also owns and operates the waterfront Innlett, a classic motel-style space where guests can both rent a room and tie off their boat.
The Boca Bay Pass Club
The Boca Bay Pass Club is another of the island’s premier event venues, with spaces suited to weddings of every size. The Club’s Powerhouse space is most often chosen for more intimate reception dinners, with a maximum capacity of 100 guests and the option for either a buffet or tray-passed hors d’oeuvres. The Club Lawn, on the other hand, directly overlooks the dazzling Gulf of Mexico and can accommodate up to 225 guests — perfect for the semi-beachfront ceremony of your wildest dreams. And if you really love Boca Bay Pass Club’s Lawn, consider hosting a tented reception there as well!
Historic Banyan Street
Want your ceremony to feel truly one-of-a-kind? Check out historic Banyan Street in Old Town Boca Grande, a Banyan tree-lined avenue running perpendicular to the Gulf coastline. Couples often flock to Banyan Street for their wedding photos (for good reason!), but not many know that, with a permit, you can actually host your nuptials in this iconic spot.
In addition to these three venues, the island is home to both a Methodist Church and a Catholic Church for any couples who want to hold a traditional religious ceremony.
Rehearsal Dinner Spots
The Pink Elephant
If The Gasparilla Inn piqued your interest, you’re in luck. Their Pink Elephant restaurant is an excellent spot for rehearsal dinners and other wedding weekend festivities — including the afterparty! Think eclectic décor, fresh seafood with a contemporary flair, refreshing craft cocktails, and excellent service.
Miller’s Dockside
Miller’s Dockside restaurant offers a slightly more casual feel, with a large covered terrace overlooking the dock on its first floor and the indoor Bellamy Room space upstairs — perfect for both lively cocktail hours and intimate seated dinners.
The Gasparilla Inn Beach Club
In addition to a great ceremony + reception venue, The Gasparilla Inn Beach Club is an awesome rehearsal dinner spot too! It’s generally utilized by brides who are marrying at the Inn (croquet lawn) on a Saturday, hosting the rehearsal dinner on Friday at the Beach Club. It’s the best of both worlds for you and your guests.
Travel
In Boca Grande, travel looks a little different than you might expect. Most residents get from place to place by way of golf cart — no Ubers on this island! For golf cart rentals, we recommend either going directly through the Gasparilla Inn or stopping by Kappy’s Island Shoppe.

Banyan Street, Gilchrist Avenue, & Park Avenue
Even if a Banyan Street ceremony isn’t quite your style, this gorgeous stretch is one of Boca’s most recognizable locations and a great spot to snap a few portraits. The canopy created by the lofty Banyan trees on each side of the street always makes for some dreamy shots!
We also love to take couples cruising down Gilchrist Avenue, where beautiful homes and gorgeous Florida foliage abound — think Bougainvillea blooms cascading off pretty picket fences and towering bamboo stalks framing private pergolas.
There’s also Boca’s “main street”, Park Avenue, where we always stop to get a few shots in front of Hudson’s vintage pink gas pumps for that nostalgic feel.
The Gasparilla Island Rear Range Lighthouse
Lighthouse photos are a true coastal wedding classic, and Gasparilla Island’s Rear Range Lighthouse is certainly no exception. After all, where else can you find such a striking combination of beachfront beauty and nautical architecture? Best of all, this photo-op is conventionally located halfway between downtown Boca Grande and the Boca Bay Pass Club.
Johann Fust Community Library
Speaking of architecture, Boca’s Johann Fust Community Library has an incredible entranceway for photo sessions. The massive exposed cypress doors, framed by bright pink stucco siding, make for the best backdrop.
Boca Grand Beach
We conclude with another tried-and-true classic: the beach. Radiant sunset shots, frames of the ocean lapping at a joyful couples’ heels, artful captures of their footprints in the sand … need we say more? The beachfront near the Rear Range Lighthouse is one of our all-time favorite spots, perfect for capturing some epic drone shots of Boca’s incredible scenery.

If you’re anything like us, travel preparation starts with scouting out the best restaurants and shops your destination has to offer.
For breakfast, we highly recommend the Inn Bakery, located on-site at The Gasparilla Inn. Get there early or risk missing out on their incredible selection of baked goods! This is the perfect spot for a morning latte and croissant before hitting the beach.
For an on-the-go lunch, consider stopping by the Tortuga Mexican Food Truck for some homemade tamales or fresh shrimp ceviche. And when it comes to dessert, nobody does it better than The Pink Pony — their soft-serve ice cream, fruit smoothies, and coffee milkshakes never disappoint.
“The Temp” (Temptation Restaurant)
Temptation Restaurant, affectionately dubbed “The Temp” by locals, is another Boca Grande staple. With ample indoor and outdoor seating available, The Temp is just the place for a laidback pre-wedding dinner. Don’t forget to try their fried grouper fingers, coconut cream pie, and unique take on the classic “Dark & Stormy” cocktail!
